Summer School on Scalable Quantum Computing with Light and Atoms.

This summer school will consist of courses, seminars and poster sessions on various theoretical and experimental topics, related to the themes of the Integrated Project "SCALA", Scalable Quantum Computing with Light and Atoms.
SCALA has been supported by the European Commission through the FET (Future and Emerging Technologies) proactive initiative in the 6th Framework Programme, from 2005 to 2009. This summer school will be the major final event of the SCALA project, after 4 years of EU-supported collaborative research.
The lectures will be given by prominent scientists working actively on the topics covered in SCALA (see program).
Admission to the Summer School is open to early stage researchers (at the doctoral / postdoctoral level) working in both SCALA and non-SCALA groups. Each SCALA group is invited to submit one firm applicant, and one "back-up" applicant. Non- SCALA applicants should upload ONE pdf document containing a CV with a publications list, and recommendation letter(s) from their advisor (and/or other referees). Selection of students will be carried out by the Program Committee, and the total number of students will be about 70.
No travel expenses will be covered by the conference for the students. Lodging and lunches at the conference site will be covered for all part
